What are our policies on holding orders, retaining discounts, and prescription requirements?
Overview
We allow customers flexibility in managing their orders, whether by holding them until valid prescriptions are available, securing discounts, or adjusting orders to meet prescription requirements. This guide outlines the options available, ensuring you can make informed decisions about your eyewear or contact lens orders.
Order Management Policies
Holding Orders
Can orders be held? Yes, you can request that an order be placed on hold if you do not have a valid prescription at the time of purchase.
How long can orders remain on hold? Your order can remain on hold indefinitely while you obtain the necessary prescription. Notify us once your prescription is ready.
Will the order price remain the same? Yes, promotional pricing or discounts applied to the held order will remain effective during the hold period. However, that might not be the case if your new prescription is for a different brand.
Canceling or Updating Orders
You may cancel an order and request a refund if you are unable to provide the required prescription. This refund will be issued to the original payment method.
Alternatively, we can contact the doctor on your behalf to confirm the prescription.
Prescription Requirements
Ensuring correct prescriptions is pivotal when ordering eyewear or contact lenses. Here are the common scenarios:
Validity of Prescriptions
Eyeglasses vs. Contact Lenses: Ensure you upload the correct prescription type. Contact lenses require additional details, such as brand name and base curve, which differ from eyeglasses prescriptions.
Special Cases
Progressive Lenses: If ordering progressive eyeglasses, make sure your prescription includes the "Add Power" value.
Postponing Orders for Updated Prescriptions: You can request that your order be delayed until you provide an updated prescription to match your needs.
